Ashley recently joined Colonial CPA Group in 2023. She is responsible for processing and e-filing tax returns along with general office duties. Ashley loves spending time outdoors and time with her daughter and family.
Diane has joined us as part of our acquisition of Rich Rafter, CPA firm, where she has been employed for eight years. Diane has 20+ years of experience as a tax preparer, beginning her career at H & R Block, where she was employed for 13 years. She earned her status as an Enrolled Agent in 2007. She also has 20+ years of experience preparing payroll, as a full charge bookkeeper, and an accounting clerk. Originally from Queens New York, Diane resides in Gloucester. She has three grown children. She is an active member of her church's choir and recently became a member of the Williamsburg Choral Guild, performing in her first concert in December of 2021.
Hilary joined Colonial in 2023, coming with working for over seven years in multiple facets of accounting. Prior to working in accounting, she worked extensively in the legal field handling corporate formation, real estate acquisitions, and labor/employment issues. She started her career working for her family's restaurant, in which helped her find her passion to assist small businesses. She enjoys eating fine food and making memories with her family and friends.
Jena comes to Colonial CPA Group with over 20 years of QuickBooks experience for small business trades including construction, roofing, painting and electrical. She also has diversified skills working with Houses of Worship, property management offices and a large child care facility. She has an Associates of Applied Science degree from Morrisville, SUNY and has just completed her first semester of accounting at Virginia Peninsula Community College, finishing in the top of her class. Jena still calls herself a newlywed after 7 years of marriage to her husband Brad and when not at work she adores her church community, cruising and enjoys charcuterie boards with neighbors and friends.
Jennifer joined the Colonial CPA Group family in July 2023. She brings over 18+ years of experience in public and private accounting. Throughout her career she's developed a diverse skill set and has worked in all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, job cost, general ledger, financial reporting, and income tax preparation. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and four rescued cats where they reside in Gloucester County. Hobbies include Bingo and supporting her community, Fresh Water Fishing, Concerts, Going to Sporting Events such as NASCAR racing and NBA Games.
Kari joined the firm in 2023, coming with a variety of bookkeeping and payroll experience from different industries. She has two boys and two girls, ranging a 16 year span. She enjoys going to the beach, Lake Gaston, camping, cooking and anything outdoors.

Lauren joined TL Johnson & Associates as a bookkeeper in 2012. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree from the College of William and Mary. She has over ten years of bookkeeping experience , five of which have been in public accounting. Lauren manages several client payroll and bookkeeping services and assists with financial statements and corporate/partnership tax return preparation.

Kristine has been a member of Colonial CPA's Yorktown team for over seven years. She is responsible for Office Administration, client contact and scheduling, purchasing and the processing and e-filing tax returns. She holds a Bachelor's of Science from the Fashion Institute of Technology - SUNY, and when not working enjoys volunteering, traveling and spending time with family.

Lauren manages several client payroll and bookkeeping services and assists with financial statements and corporate/partnership tax return preparation.
Reneé joined the Colonial CPA Group family in 2017. She brings over 15 years of experience in public and private accounting. Throughout her career she's developed a diverse skill set and has worked in all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, job cost, general ledger, financial reporting, and income tax preparation. Outside of the office, Renee enjoys working on her many stained-glass projects, spending time with her husband Robbie and their dogs.
Robin is our Senior Associate in Yorktown with over 30 years of accounting experience. She worked for Marva Maid Dairy in Newport News for 20 years in Accounts Receivable and then in Accounts Payable as a Supervisor. Robin then worked for a large electrical company in Yorktown for three years, before coming to Colonial in 2011. She specializes in small business accounting and preparing payroll. She has been married for over 25 years, has two daughters and enjoys singing. Robin is also a Notary Public.
Ryan Johnson, CPA is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Ryan began his career in 2008. Ryan has been with TL Johnson CPA since the company was established in 2006. In 2014, Ryan became the managing partner. He specializes in tax consulting, corporate tax strategies, and financial statement preparation. Ryan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ryan enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with family.

Shelby is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with a concentration in Forensic and Fraud Examination. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Audit with a completion date of September 2023. While earning her bachelor's degree she worked as an accounting assistant at a manufacturing and distributing firm, and later as an intern at another local CPA firm where she focused on auditing procedures. As an associate with Colonial CPA Group, Shelby assists with compilations, reviews, and audits, and various other accounting services.
Teresa has over 30 years experience as a full-charge bookkeeper. She worked in the aviation industry for 20 years and was a Property Manager for a beachfront condominium nine years before coming to work for Colonial CPA. Teresa handles client full service accounting for various clients. In her spare time she enjoys time with friends and family and an occasional getaway when time allows.
Yvonne recently joined Colonial CPA Group as a bookkeeper. She worked as a civilian employee for the US Army for many years, and most recently as a Property Manager and Bookkeeper for a HOA & Condo management company. Yvonne handles payroll and accounting services for various clients. In her free time, she enjoys travelling and outdoor sports.
