CORNERSTONE QUILTING

Hi, I'm Janet Peterson. I have loved fabrics all my life. As a young girl, I remember my mother and my grandmothers sewing garments, curtains and quilts on our Sartell dairy farm. At age 8 Mom patiently began teaching me to sew doll clothes. It became my new passion! My great aunt Mary had a sewing business out of her home. She inspired me to begin dreaming of the possibility of sewing as a profession. I learned many skills from her and soon I was hooked!... Shortly after I married, I started a clothing alterations business in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. We have moved several times since then and I continued my business and passion for sewing. Projects have included wedding dresses, prom gowns, girls' skating outfits, dancewear, theatrical costumes, drumline uniforms, window treatments and upholstery.
