As Chief of Staff to Paul Romer, Nobel Laureate and former Chief Economist, World Bank, Daniel was responsible for translating Paul's novel ideas into tangible policy solutions, including shaping the global conversations on both the proactive regulation of big technology (resulting in passing the first ever digital ad tax law), and the adoption of mass testing in response to COVID-19 (resulting in $25b from the U.S. Congress). This work involved advising the most senior of private and public sector leaders, and working with governments and elected officials to craft new legislation in multiple jurisdictions. Daniel managed Paul's personal office and staff, as well as his strategic relationships with Silicon Valley, Brussels, Washington, Beijing, and beyond.
