Incorporated in 1993, the DEPC was established when a group of citizens and leaders from Nash and Edgecombe counties came together to address the needs of children and families in our communities... Because today's children are tomorrow's leaders, parents and workers, the DEPC believes everyone has a stake in making sure that all children have the experiences they need to thrive. By building a community that supports the unique needs of each child and family, creating and increasing access to high quality early care and education, and surrounding each child and family with coordinated community resources, together DEPC and our communities can give children the very best opportunities they need to grow and learn... We believe that all children and their families can reach their full potential when surrounded by a united and supportive community.
