Abigail Cruz

Abigail Cruz began her paralegal career in July 2016 as a paralegal intern for Law Office of E.B. Quirk, LLC. A few months later, she earned her paralegal graduate certificate with distinction from Branford Hall Institute in Southington, Connecticut. At her graduation, she was granted the Director's Award for consistent excellence in academics, professionalism, responsibility, dependability and leadership. These skills remained evident as an intern and she quickly rose to a full time paralegal position in March of 2017. Ms. Cruz now heads the firm's Real Estate practice section. Se habla espanol.

Attorney Quirk is a member of the New Haven County Bar, Hartford County Bar, and the George W. Crawford Black Bar Associations. She also serves as secretary of the New Haven County Bar Association and as Chairperson for the Meriden-Wallingford-Cheshire Section of the New Haven County Bar. She presently sits as a Board of Director for MidState Chamber of Commerce, the Meriden Economic Board, and the CT After School Network. She is admitted to practice before Connecticut Superior as well as Connecticut Federal District courts. Attorney Quirk is an alumna of Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees and of Trinity College, Hartford, where she earned her Master's degree. Tara Elderton

Following a physical injury requiring a career change, Ms. Elderton enrolled at Norwalk Community College's paralegal program in 2014. She graduated in one year with a Paralegal Certificate and an almost 4.0 GPA. Following graduation, she worked for a New Canaan law firm for almost seven years handling defense litigation and probate matters. Ms. Elderton then worked for a Trumbull law firm for a year handling personal injury matters. She transitioned in her paralegal career to Law Office of E.B. Quirk, LLC in May 2022 and is now responsible for the firm's probate files including conservatorship and decedent estate files. She also assists with the preparation of estate planning documents such as wills, living wills, and designations of a health care representative form for the firm's clients. When not working, Ms. Elderton is a mom to four kids and enjoys listening to music, taking pictures and spending time with family and friends. Ms. Quirk understands the importance of cost-efficiency.
