Our founder Jon Madden began Encompass in 2010 after identifying a gap in how life sciences companies train their teams. In response, he developed our proprietary iEAR® approach. iEAR® enhances learning while both streamlining training time and helping learners retain knowledge. This is key. Unlike other training companies that develop training in "one and done" sessions, we become a strong partner to our clients and impart new skills and information in stages-the proven way people learn.

Director of Editorial Operations and Strategy

Julie brings almost 20 years of healthcare content development experience to her role, drawing on her experiences as a copywriter and editor for pharmaceutical marketing agencies. As a senior copywriter in managed markets advertising, Julie wrote everything from unbranded patient pieces to clinical product launch resources supporting many disease states and drug classes. She also developed resources on the 340B Program, shared decision making, and medication adherence. Additionally, she has experience editing and managing medical and nursing publications. Most recently, Julie was an editorial director for a brand marketing agency, managing its editorial and compliance department. She earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from Boston College.

Senior Instructional Designer and Project Lead

Kevin is an accomplished education and training professional who brings more than 20 years of experience in designing electronic and in-person courses to Encompass. His experience spans a host of industries, including pharmaceutical sales, aerospace, transportation and shipping, leadership training, financial services, telecommunications, nonprofit organizations and manufacturing. He has created and delivered a variety of types of training and training tools, including eLearning modules, video courses, instructor-led courses, undergraduate classes, documentation and learning support tools. Kevin earned a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Auburn University. He has served part-time as a professor at University of North Carolina Wilmington for over 10 years, creating and teaching online courses in industrial psychology to advanced undergraduate students.
