Dr. Deland Burns

Dr. Deland Burns, MD founded Eye Physicians of Kankakee in 1971. He is board certified in pathology and ophthalmology. Dr. Deland Burns retired from the practice of ophthalmology in July 2011 after almost 40 years of service to the Kankakee area. Dr. Steven Burns MD joined Dr. Deland Burns in 2001. He is board certified in ophthalmology and is dedicated to the tradition of excellent eye care for the people of the Kankakee area. Dr. Burns received training in ophthalmology as a resident at SUNY - Buffalo, New York where he rotated through the county hospital, the Children's hospital and the VA Hospital. Dr. Burns is Board certified in Ophthalmology and he is a member of various ophthalmology academies and associations. He is an active staff member at Provena St. Mary's Hospital and Riverside Medical Center.
