Why do we do it? Inspired by renovating our home we developed many ideas, dreams, and concepts of how we wo uld like it to look and feel. We wanted our very traditional lime stone double-fronted 250-year-old townhouse in Zebbug Malta to feel fresh and modern yet have that glimpse of tradition, craftsmanship, and a good dose of imperfections in glassware, ceramics, and furniture as a true testament of human artisanship. As we started window shopping at the local main furniture and decoration outlets we got a major disappointment. Everything was china made and sold in bulk as if it were canned beans leaving no room for originality, individualism, and creativity. We did not want to fill our home with the same objects everyone else already had. We wanted unique and unusual items. We started looking at trade fairs in Europe and visited a couple of exhibits in the UK and Germany. We started importing unusual ceramic & glass ornaments, wall clocks, mirrors, and loose furniture.
