Rev. Abigail Henderson is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and a part of the Aging Initiative at Rainbow Health in the Twin Cities. Abby has a background in local church ministry, hospital chaplaincy, pastoral counseling, social work, and faith-based organizing. Abby is committed to the wellbeing queer and transgender youth and elders, accessible healthcare for all people, and religious activism for reproductive justice. She is honored to support Family Tree's mission and lives in South Minneapolis with her spouse.

Adrienne Dorn is the Executive Director of Greater Minneapolis Community Connections (GMCC), a 115-year old social services agency that works in youth development and mentorship, poverty-relief, and social justice and anti-racism. She has been a Board Member of Family Tree Clinic since 2012 and is passionate about the clinic's work addressing health disparities.
Adrienne served as Director of Development and Executive Director of The Cedar Cultural Center for thirteen years where she more than tripled the organization's annual budget and revolutionized its audience engagement and reputation with the surrounding East African communities through grant-funded programs, relationship-building, and strategic initiatives. In 2018, Adrienne was the Campaign Manager for Osman Ahmed, DFL candidate for MN State Representative in District 62A. Adrienne has consulted for a variety of organizations and institutions in the areas of program development and fundraising, including Augsburg University, Concordia University, MN2020, Center for Hmong Studies, African Families Development Network, and West Bank Athletic Club. Adrienne received her BA from Macalester College and was a 2017 University of Minnesota Humphrey Fellow. She lives in South Minneapolis and is a single mother to her son, Samatar.

Ann Marie Schott is an attorney who investigates sexual misconduct and discrimination. Originally from the deep south, where sexual health care can be traumatic and inaccessible for people with non-dominant identities, Ann Marie feels especially connected to Family Tree's mission. Outside of working hours, Ann Marie enjoys mushroom foraging, cartooning, and hanging out with plants.
Annie Schmitz is a dedicated fundraising professional passionate about community. Before joining Family Tree, Annie was the Director of Programs and Research at Momentum Nonprofit Partners in Memphis, TN, where she coordinated capacity-building training to other nonprofits across a ten-county service area.
Annie previously served as Grants and Communications Coordinator at COA Youth & Family Centers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the Managing Director at the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, she graduated with a masters in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also holds a BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.

Annie Van Avery brings an extensive track record of collaborative leadership in the nonprofit sector. She has successfully stabilized and grown each organization she has been a part of by listening to and engaging the strengths of the team while developing innovative solutions that help organizations thrive. Her extensive leadership history includes successful experiences as Interim Executive Director at Banyan Community Foundation, and Executive Director positions at three nonprofits: Domestic Abuse Project in Hennepin County; COLAGE, a national organization supporting LGBTQ+ parents and caregivers; and Photographic Center NW in Seattle. Annie brings a deep understanding of the communities Family Tree serves, and extensive experience as a co-creator of strategies, sustainable practices, and innovative solutions to support this next chapter for Family Tree Clinic.

Ashley Booker has been focused on advancing equitable outcomes, particularly for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, throughout her career. Born and raised in Saint Paul, Ashley is a lifelong Minnesotan, with deep ties to the community. She is also an experienced educator, collaborative leader, effective fundraiser, and skilled program evaluator. Whether in a classroom, boardroom, or knee-deep in spreadsheets, she is a relentless advocate for those who have been persistently oppressed and underserved. Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts in the Sociology from the University of Minnesota, and her Master of Arts in Education from Augsburg University.
Previously, she has worked as a Program Coordinator with College Possible, Program Manager of Student Diversity & Inclusion Services at the University of St. Thomas, and Program Development and Evaluation Manager at the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. In more recent years, Ashley has served as the Director of Get Ready, Minnesota's statewide federal Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) initiative aimed at increasing high school graduation and college enrollment within communities of color; and as the Executive Vice President of Learning & Impact at Planned Parenthood North Central States, overseeing the organization's education, training, community engagement, program evaluation, and employee engagement efforts across five states. Ashley currently lives in St. Paul with her family, and in her free time, you can usually find her creating new recipes in the kitchen, displaying her competitive spirit playing video or board games, or dancing vigorously to any music with great drums and a heavy bassline.

Colleen J. Cooper, MD, MPH is a retired board certified internal medicine physician. She has worked as a physician executive and as a clinician. During her career, she oversaw the chronic care management division of a company providing care to homebound individuals with complex medical conditions. Before retirement, Colleen served as the Medical Director of Fairview's Hospice program serving the executive role and providing direct hospice and palliative care. Colleen has also worked in geriatrics in a home visit program, as Medical Director of primary care clinics at North Memorial Health Care and as a medical consultant for the Minnesota Department of Health.
More recently she served on the board of Neighborhood Health Source for six years as the Chair of the Finance Committee. Colleen's passion for our work at Family Tree is our clinic's dedication to a population underserved by the larger healthcare systems, including providing exceptional patient-centered healthcare services that support nonbinary, gender expansive, and trans community members.

Deborah Angelucci has more than 25 years of experience working in fundraising, finance, human resources, and administration in small- to mid-sized nonprofits in the Twin Cities.
Her previous work experience includes Tree Trust, Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, Rural AIDS Action Network, and what was then Face to Face Health & Counseling Service (now Face to Face).
Prior to that, she worked as a fundraising consultant for what was then Crowley, White & Associates - now Crowley, White, Helmer & Sevig.
Deborah has a BA in Communications from Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA, and in her free time enjoys traveling with her spouse.

Erin brings 20 years of experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare, clinical operations and nonprofit leadership. She currently works as the Director of Technical Assistance and Program Design at Upstream USA, a national nonprofit that works to increase access to patient-centered contraceptive care in primary care settings. Erin is a previous Family Tree staff member and the organization and mission are very dear to her heart. She lives in South Minneapolis with her daughter.

Jaemi Hagen is a licensed social worker in Maryland and Washington, DC. He grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. He received a Master of Social Work degree from Gallaudet University in 2021. Most recently he worked as a permanency social worker at D.C.'s Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) in child welfare and foster care. Jaemi is an adjunct faculty member at Gallaudet University where he teaches a course on disability policy in the graduate social work program. Jaemi is also a facilitator and speaker, providing workshops, speaking engagements, and presentations at various universities, schools, camps, and programs in several different states.

Koa is the Senior Program Officer at Lending LISC Twin Cities. As a researcher, educator, and nonprofit consultant, Koa has worked closely with folks directing social change in widely diverse settings, both here in the Twin Cities and back home in India and has an ongoing commitment to tackling the structural inequities organizing our world(s). Koa values building relationships and believes that truly generative insights come out of attentiveness, curiosity, and deep personal engagement.
Lindsey has been a Sex Educator since 1999 and has worked in the Community Education department at Family Tree Clinic since 2002. As a student at the University of MN, she designed a Sexuality Education degree in the areas of Women's Studies, Cultural Studies, and Public Health. Lindsey loves working with youth and adult groups, and is passionate about helping people understand accurate information and feel more comfortable when they talk about sexuality. Lindsey plans to be a sex educator for the rest of her life.
Lindsey Hoskins is a deeply committed sex nerd who graduated from the University of MN with a degree in sex education. She dove into this work in 1999 and fell in love with helping folks get comfy and start talking about topics that can often be challenging. Lindsey joined Family Tree is 2002 and is now the Director of Health Education.
Lindsey is most proud of the sex ed programming she runs in juvenile corrections, the peer sex educator program she started for queer and trans teens, and her work with parents of young children. Lindsey is happiest when teaching puberty, and don't even get her started on lube.

Based in Minneapolis, Michael Anderson leads a consulting practice (Michael Anderson Consulting) that works with nonprofit organizations across the country in the areas of strategy development, business and financial planning, and merger exploration and negotiation. Prior to joining the Board, Michael was a participant and client in Family Tree Clinic programming.
Nyssa discovered her ability to lead teams towards a shared goal in a positive, people-centric way as a teenage camp counselor in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Her passions of music & team leadership joined forces while in college to spend many years working at the Electric Fetus record store near Lake Superior.
In 2013 Nyssa started working at Planned Parenthood & managed the Duluth & Virginia, MN clinics, helping to eliminate health disparities in underserved communities with a focus on sexual health. Nyssa moved to the Twin Cities during the Covid pandemic to join the team at Family Tree & continue work in community-focused reproductive & social justice in healthcare.
Nyssa holds a Bachelor of Music & Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. In her spare time she loves to go on outdoor adventures, play the upright bass, cook complicated meals, & her newly found joy of fly fishing.
Paige is a sex educator at Family Tree Clinic and she is very passionate about making comprehensive sex education and healthcare accessible for people of all sexualities, genders, and ethnicities. Since graduating, Paige has worked in early childhood education and in mental healthcare and currently volunteers with a local pet rescue. In her free time, Paige mostly just likes to vibe and craft. Paige is excited to teach so make the best and most informed decisions for themselves and their bodies.

Paul Bock was born in Wyoming - the youngest of 8 children. Raised between Wyoming and South Dakota, he got his first job (delivering papers) in the first grade and has worked ever since. After attaining an undergrad degree at Creighton University and working on biomedical research on HIV, he attended the University of Michigan where he earned his Medical degree. After residency training at HCMC, he became an Emergency Medicine specialist, and has worked as an EM Physician since 2006. Paul met his husband Eric in 2007, and they have a puppy named Rosie. Paul loves to read Sci-fi/Fantasy, bake, and crochet. He tries to garden but has a notoriously black thumb.

Sally Nixon is a Community Connector, Artist, Auntie, Healer and Nature Enthusiast. She is a descendant of African and Western European ancestry and was raised in a mixed race home within a multi-cultural circle of chosen family. Sally has worked in the Social Work field for over 20 years in a variety of roles, with a focus on public health for the past 10 years. She is an experienced Sexual Health Educator and is passionate about sex-positive and equitable reproductive care for all. Trained as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Sally is involved in the healing arts through many avenues, while continuing to engage in learning about various traditional healing practices.
Sawyer's values and goals have always centered on education for social justice. He graduated from the University of WI-La Crosse in 2004 with a degree in Secondary Education and English. Since then, he has worked as a classroom teacher, community organizer, LGBTQ youth program director, and sexual violence prevention educator. Sawyer is passionate about comprehensive sex ed in schools and believes that peer and parent education have the power to build and shape cultures of authenticity, empowerment, and liberation.
Taylor Chambers is the Juvenile Justice Sex Educator at Family Tree Clinic. Taylor is passionate about prison abolition and creating equitable communities. In their work, Taylor is constantly amazed by the young people they serve, and their capacity to push up against boundaries. They inspire Taylor to push back against systems and structures that would render us invisible rather than make things just and fair. During their free time you can find Taylor cooking/baking, adding too many books to their to-be-read list, learning how to bartend, and doing arts and crafts.

Willow is a founding partner of Victus Engineering, a minority-owned architectural engineering firm that works with architects and building owners to design thoughtful, efficient, and sustainable building systems. Willow also promotes sustainable design and construction practices as an active volunteer with the regional chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). As an entrepreneur, Professional Engineer, and sustainability advocate, she contributes to the board her business management experience, facility operation knowledge, and passion for sustainability. Having navigated the challenges of gender-affirming care herself, she appreciates Family Tree Clinic's commitment to providing care options to underserved communities.
Willow is an MBA candidate at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas. She lives with her partner in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, where she enjoys container gardening, cooking, and playing the guitar … poorly
