FLUVICON

The Austrian fluvicon GmbH was founded in Leoben in 2013. The starting point was a research project on water treatment using forward osmosis, funded by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG). The spin-off was supported in the early stages by the Center for Applied Technology of the University of Leoben, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the EIT Raw Materials. After the successful proof of concept, the first patent was filed in 2016.
