Alysia McElmon

Alysia, originally from New Hampshire, has called North Carolina home for over two decades. She joined the Friendly Animal Clinic team in 2011, and has been putting her lifelong love for animals to good use ever since. She met her husband, a huge nerd, at Appalachian State, and together they share their home with an ever-changing gaggle of cats. When she's not playing video games or reading (usually with a cat or two planted on her lap), you might find Alysia at a local winery or brewery, happily petting other people's dogs.

Angie Dean

Hi, my name is Angie. I'm an NC native, born and raised. I currently live on the countryside in Randleman with my husband and a robust group of four-legged friends. I joined the dedicated and hardworking team of FAC in early 2013.

Dr. Benjamin Jones

Dr. Jones is a vet at Friendly Animal Clinic in Greensboro who provides compassionate care to his clients. Dr. Benjamin Jones was born and raised in Durham, NC. He received his undergrad degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He then went on to receive his DVM from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville in 1982. Dr. Jones and his wife, Pam, who also works here at Friendly Animal Clinic, have been married for 40 years. They have two children and two grandchildren. Dr. Jones enjoys spending his free time fishing, gardening, beekeeping, and working on their farm. He and Pam share their home with their three dogs, Buzz, Boone, and Todd.

Dr. Christy Davis

Dr. Davis is a vet at Friendly Animal Clinic in Greensboro who provides compassionate care to her clients. Dr. Davis is originally from Monroe, NC, and attended North Carolina State University for her undergraduate degree in education. She left teaching to pursue her true passion and returned to school to complete the DVM program at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Her interests are dermatology, internal medicine, geriatric care, and pain management. She strives to create lasting relationships and help clients understand treatment options for best possible patient outcomes. Dr. Davis lives with her husband Chris and Lorrie, their spoiled rotten kitty.

Dr. Jamie Steins

Dr. Steins is the medical director at Friendly Animal Clinic in Greensboro who strives to make you and your pet's veterinary experience as comfortable as possible. Dr. Steins joined Friendly Animal Clinic in July of 2023 as the practice's new medical director. Dr. Steins has over 20 years' experience in the veterinary field and has worked in every position in a veterinary clinic from kennel staff to now veterinarian and medical director. She graduated from MS State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, and completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship and two surgical internships in the years following graduation. Her professional interests and passions include feline medicine and behavior, as well as the many facets of pain control. She has completed the American Association of Feline Practitioners' program to be a certified "Cat Friendly Veterinarian", and is also Fear FreeĀ® Certified for both canine and feline patients. Dr. Steins is currently working on an advanced certification program to become a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP), which includes over 90 hours of continuing education specific to pain control, a rigorous examination, as well as multiple case reports and a skills certification in interdisciplinary pain management, to earn this specialty designation. Dr. Steins strives to make you and your pet's veterinary experience as stress free and comfortable as possible!

Dr. Katie LoPresti

Dr. LoPresti is a vet at Friendly Animal Clinic in Greensboro who provides compassionate care to her clients. Dr. LoPresti is a familiar face to Friendly Animal Clinic; she was a technician here years ago, before attending vet school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts' in the Caribbean. After finishing her clinical year at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Lopresti completed a one year internship at Equine Specialty Hospital in Burton, Ohio. She then spent the next several years as an equine veterinarian in both Virginia and North Carolina. Seeking a change of pace, she returned to her roots at Friendly Animal Clinic, this time as a doctor! Dr. LoPresti spends her time running her horse rescue, Green Bean's Safe Haven, and trying to wear out her pitbull mix, Leia. And of course, she has three cuddly cats to come home to at night; Rem, Hhajma, and Kitten.

Erin Frisby

Erin has been at Friendly Animal Clinic since 2021. She is mom to 3 humans, 1 dog, 2 cats, and 5 guinea pigs. Her hobbies are reading, running with her dog Enzo, baking, and eating the things she bakes.

Kayla Needham

Kayla is originally from Carthage, NC and is currently studying American Sign Language Interpreting at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has been working in kennels/vets off and on since 2018 and is very happy to have found Friendly Animal Clinic while in school to start her career. In her off time, you can find Kayla at the Greensboro Libraries looking for books, doing homework in various coffee shops around town, or her bed reading a book with her cat Pepper meowing in her face! Pictured here is her dog of 9 years Izzy, who lives with her parents, and a book series that she has yet to finish completely! She's happy to love on your furbabies while you're away from home and will make sure they all get all the hugs and kisses while boarding with Friendly Animal Clinic!

Kaylee Kilgore

Kaylee is a Registered Veterinary Technician originally from GA. She graduated in 2019 from Athens Technical College. Her love for helping animals started in shelter medicine but has landed her in general practice today. Her favorite thing about vet med is helping be a voice for the ones who don't have one! Her hobbies include playing PS5, sleeping, and watching nature documentaries with her 2 cats - A DLH named Kovu and a tripod named Blackberry. At Friendly Animal Clinic, Kaylee will help you and your fur baby live your best life!
