Although I have always been an explorer and seeker of adventure I've only been metal detecting on a serious level for the past 20 years. I absolutely love this hobby. Not just metal detecting but every aspect of treasure hunting. Bottle digging, prospecting, arrowhead hunting etc. Most people who enjoy this hobby are also big fans of history. I don't know how you couldn't be. The thrill of the hunt and the love of history is what drives my enthusiasm for this great hobby.
