GODDESS FATIMA

Iwas born on the Portuguese Azores Island of St. Miguel. My father arrived in Canada in 1969 to seek out a better life for his family. At nine years old, I and the rest of my family joined him in Brampton, Ontario. Growing up, I always felt that I didn't belong. I could tell that there was something about me that was different from other people. No matter where I went, I always felt out of place, but I went on dealing with those feelings the best I could... I was married at the very young age of 19. It lasted ten years, and was a very difficult and stressful period for me. My beautiful daughter - my great gift from God -was born in 1987. My divorce was shortly after her third birthday. When she was still very young, my arm was injured at work leaving me disabled for nearly 8 years. I must thank my daughter for going through it all with me... For a long time, I had been going through life not being able to find meaning to it. I felt as if I was not doing what I had been put on earth..
