Doing this turns out to be surprisingly difficult. We are inspired by the quantitative analysis performed by our sister site Back of the Envelope Guide to Philanthropy, and the Effective Altruism movement. Our work to date has focused on global health advocacy. Increasingly through we are focusing on smarter than human AI risk mitigation... We believe in the concept of open society. As a non-profit our charter specifies that we should act for the public good, and not our own self interest. We believe the public has a right to as much information about our activities as possible in order to confirm this.
