Dr. Ebenezer Ayesu

Dr. Ebenezer Ayesu is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of General Studies at Heritage Christian College. He is also a Visiting Scholar in History and Global Studies at Abilene Christian University (ACU), Abilene, Texas, USA. Moreover, he is a Senior Lecturer (Part-Time) at the Departments of History Education Basic Education, Winneba. Before then, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of African Studies of the University of Ghana, Legon. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Indiana University (IU), Bloomington, USA; MPhil. in African Studies and BA (Hons) from the University of Ghana (UG), Legon. He has been the recipient of Lily Award for History at the Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, USA; and a Fulbright Scholar (2006 to 2008). Dr. Ayesu has been a Visiting Scholar at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway as well as a Lecturer at Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH, U.S.A. He was a Language Partner (Twi) in the Online Tutoring program at Yale University, USA. He was the Senior Tutor of the Jubilee Hall of the University of Ghana, Legon from 2012 to 2015. He recently hosted the Princeton in Ghana programme here at Heritage. Dr. Ebenezer Ayesu has presented papers on Religion, Culture, Gender, Labour and African History at conferences in Ghana and abroad. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to book chapters; and edited a book on ‘Modern Democracy in Ghana and Traditional forms of Governance.' He has produced documentaries on traditional festivals and authored biographies of some great traditional leaders of Ghana. Before then, he was a resource person for the University of California Education Abroad Programme (UCEAP-GH); and the University Study Abroad Consortium (USAC) all based at the University of Ghana, Legon. He was a member of the committee that developed undergraduate, MPhil and Ph.D. syllabi for the Institute of African Studies of the University of Ghana, Legon. He is a member of the African Studies Association (USA); Historical Society of Ghana and the Green Earth Organization (and environmental NGO). He is also the Chairperson of the Adawso-Akuapem Development Association; and a member of the Reconciliation Group of the same traditional area. Dr. Ayesu worked with the Ghana Education Service in the Akropong; Dangme East; Dangme West; and Akuapem-South Districts as a Circuit Supervisor in charge of School Supervision, Staff supervision and Reporting on Performance of pupils, teachers and communities' management of their basic schools. Dr. Ayesu is a Christian and fellowship with the Church of Christ at Oparekrom near Nsawam and is married with children.

Julius K. Hagan

Professor Julius K. Hagan is an Associate Professor of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the Department of Animal Science, School of Agriculture, University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast, Ghana. He holds a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Cape Coast and a PhD in Animal Breeding and Genetics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He also has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Quantitative Genetics and Genomics from the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Nairobi, Kenya. His area of research interest is indigenous livestock genetic resource conservation and improvement. He is currently working on the development of new rabbit breeds for Ghanaian farmers. He also holds a Certificate in Leadership in Agricultural Development. He has been involved training, research and outreach work in livestock improvement for the past five years with special interest in poultry, goats and recently rabbits. He is also a member of the Ghana National Cattle Ranching Committee, the National Secretary of the Ghana Society of Animal Production (professional body of animal scientists in Ghana). He has been consulting for local and international organisations in the area of training and capacity building of livestock and poultry farmers. He is currently the Vice Dean of the School of Agriculture, University of Cape Coast, the Coordinator of Radio and TV programmes as well as the Coordinator of Short Courses organized by the various Departments in the School of Agriculture, UCC. He is a patron of the Church of Christ Campus Ministry (CCCM - University of Cape Coast Branch). He is a staunch member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ, Cape Coast and the chairman of the Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation Ministry of the Church. He is married with three children.

Mr. Ernest Kofi Obeng

Mr. Ernest Kofi Obeng is a Partner at Kensington Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. Mr. Frederick Boadu Asare

Mr. Frederick Boadu Asare is the Group Managing Director of the Village of Hope, a humanitarian project of the churches of Christ. The Village of Hope currently runs two Residential Homes for Children (RHCs) in Gomoa-Fetteh and Bongo in the Central and Upper East Regions of Ghana, respectively. The RHCs cares for a total of 267 abandoned, orphaned, destitute and needy children ensuring that their physical, emotional, nutritional, educational and spiritual needs are provided for every day. Village of Hope also runs a hospital that serves the children and the people from over 14 communities around Gomoa-Fetteh; 2 basic (elementary) schools that provide quality Christian education to about 1,000 children; a senior high school educating students on the pillars of character, scholarship, service and leadership; a vocational training institute providing skills to former street children, and a 50-acre farm where few crops are grown to supplement the food needs of the children's homes. Through his leadership, his passion and his vision for the children of Ghana, Village of Hope continues to grow.

Mr. Gilbert Tetteh

Mr. Gilbert Tetteh is currently the 6th SRC President at Heritage Christian College and is a BBA Human Resource Management final-year student. He holds Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and Media Studies. He served as a member of the Vetting Panel for the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG), July 2023. Appointed as the Electoral Commissioner for Private Universities Students' Association of Ghana (PUSAG) Congress, August 2023. Currently serving as Administrative Aide (Intern) at Nartey Law Firm.

Mr. Samuel K. Ayim (Esq) is the founder and CEO of Focus Life Group and the Centre for Transformational Leadership in Africa - (CTL Africa) which focuses on leadership and personal development. He is a John C. Maxwell certified leadership coach and has been a motivational teacher since 2004 on the mentorship level. He is a member of the International Federation of Coaches and facilitator of BCA Leadership, a Pan-African executive coaching company. He is a former Group General Counsel and company secretary of Ecobank Group where he was responsible for corporate governance for the Group. He is also a former legal adviser and company secretary of Ghana Stock Exchange. He currently holds directorship on the boards of several companies and institutions in Ghana. Samuel has over 30 years of professional experience as a senior executive and a coach and trainer of senior level corporate executive across Africa; legal advisory; company secretarial practices; board and governance practices; banking, finance, investment and capital markets; and strategic management across sub-Saharan Africa with high international exposure. He is also a motivational teacher and speaker with special focus on senior corporate executives and professionals, church leaders, women and youth groups. He is an entrepreneur with businesses in leadership, personal development & coaching, real estate and transportation. Mrs. Yvonne Nagai

Mrs. Yvonne Nagai is the Director Legal and Company Secretary of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA). She is a corporate lawyer with vast experience in company and commercial law matters. Having worked as Deputy Head of legal in the Legal and Compliance Department of one of the most reputable Banks in Ghana (Standard Chartered Bank), she has over 5 years' experience in commercial and corporate practice as well as provision of high level company secretarial services both at Board Meetings, Management Committee meetings and supporting members of these management teams in taking critical decisions that require legal and compliance input according to Ghanaian and international law and practices. She holds an LLB Hons from the University of North London as well as a Solicitor's Certificate having completed a Legal Practice Course at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. She is a member of the Ghana Bar having successfully completed and passed the Ghana Bar Exams in 1999. Yvonne is highly experienced and has demonstrated capability in Administration and Management, having held executive positions in her role as Executive Assistant to the Executive Secretary of the erstwhile National Reconciliation Commission in Ghana which culminated in her role as Acting Executive Secretary to the Commission. Yvonne has also worked in private practice in a reputable law firm in Ghana with expertise in litigation, including Commercial, Arbitration both local and international, registration of companies and providing legal advice on all requirements of the laws in Ghana regarding Start-Up of Companies. Prior to joining the Ghana Bar, Yvonne worked as a Personal Assistant to the Head of Chemical Engineering at South Bank University and for the Crown Prosecution Service in London. Yvonne was a Board Member of the Rural Water Project of the Churches of Christ, and is currently Board Chair of Peak Lyceum School in Tema and board member of Hope Christian Academy, an orphanage school in Gomoa Fetteh. She is also a member of the Education Committee of Church of Christ, Ghana.

Prof. Nicholas Kyei-Baffour

After his first degree in October 1987 and the subsequent mandatory two-year national service, he was appointed as a Teaching Assistant in September 1989 at the same department. He has since bettered his education up to the PhD, rising through the ranks by dint of hard work to become the first full Professor of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at KNUST and Ghana in October 2010. He has trained many students including the first male/female PhDs in his field in Ghana and has had quality training in tertiary education management abroad. He is the immediate past Dean of School of Graduate Studies and was Dean of two other Faculties, Vice Dean/Head of Department/Section, and deputised for every Provost of his college. He has served on all academic-related boards of KNUST and even chaired some committees and boards. He is an astute and a very active academic/engineer/consultant who has consulted for MIDA/JICA/IFAD/MOFA and others. He is a consummate researcher/prolific writer with over 160 publications comprising over half century peer-reviewed journal papers, five (5) books and 11 chapters/sections of six (6) books, 33 refereed conference proceedings and over 30 technical and other reports. His expertise include water resources, irrigation and drainage, feasibility studies, evaluation of projects, erosion and agricultural pollution control, salinity and sodicity, rural water supply and sanitation, vegetable oil extraction and writing business plans for agriculturists. He reviews for many academic journals and functions as an external examiner/assessor and moderator for most public/technical universities and the CSIR in Ghana. He served on the academic boards of KNUST and the Accra Institute of Technology. He is currently a member of GhIE and was an alternate professor on the Appointments and Promotions Committee of KNUST. He is chairman of the Junior Member Disciplinary Committee of the University. He contributed in no small measure to motivating staff in his department such that it is ranked among the best.
