PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY OF HASLET - Key Persons

Abbygail Saucedo

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Hello! My name is Abby and I have been working as a dental assistant since 2017 and joined the team in 2020. I worked in Endodontics for a year and have spent the other 3 years working in Pediatrics. My heart belongs with the kiddos and I truly love coming to work every day to be surrounded by all of the positivity. I enjoy interacting with each and every patient who walks through the door. I have a busy two-year old son, Easton, and a two month old baby girl, Weslynn. In my free time I enjoy anything outside, watching my nephew play football or taking my Doberman, Murphy, for a walk.

Dr Stephen Holmes

Dr Stephen Holmes was born in New Orleans, but raised all over, including many years overseas. After graduating from Washington and Lee University, he spent a few years exploring various career options, including some time in the oil business in Texas and Oklahoma. Finally deciding on dentistry as a career, he attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, then completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at LSU in New Orleans. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years after that, treating the children of active duty troops in Japan and England. Although he loved his time in the USAF, he married a Louisiana girl towards the end of his active duty career, and moved back to the States to start a family. He worked for a short while in Austin, then in Nashville, TN, before moving back to New Orleans, closer to family, to start his own practice. He ran a solo practice in New Orleans for 10 years, was part-time faculty at LSU School of Dentistry, on staff at Children's Hospital of New Orleans, and a member of the Craniofacial team at Children's Hospital. With two sons on the autism spectrum, he and his wife, Shanee, became tired of fighting the school system in Louisiana, and decided to seek greener pastures. The Texas public school system has been a life saver, and the Holmes family is super happy to have made the transition. After working for a larger group in the DFW area, Dr Holmes realized that he's happiest in a smaller, private, clinical setting, and excited to be part of Dr Ashcroft's team. Although ‘classical' trained in pediatric dentistry, having his own children really changed his approach to dentistry. The first question he always asks himself is "what would I do if this were my child?" Although most of his time off is spent centered on family activities, you might find Dr Holmes riding his dirt bike on local trails in North Texas. Be sure to wave as you speed past him!

Dr. Jason Ashcroft

Dr. Jason Ashcroft is a native of New Mexico and is excited to have returned to the southwest. He has missed the food and weather and is happy to be closer to his family. Dr. Ashcroft received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with honors. He then furthered his education on all aspects of dentistry by completing a General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, PA where he received valuable experience in endodontic and surgical procedures. Dr. Ashcroft specialized in pediatric and adolescent dentistry at the University of Indiana and Riley Hospital for Children. While there, he also received a Master's of Science in Dentistry degree, with a minor in psychology. His pediatric training has prepared him to treat children from infancy to adolescence including those with special needs and disabilities. Dr. Ashcroft is trained in conscious sedation and hospital dental care. His specialized training uniquely qualifies him to treat pediatric patients with gentle and understanding care. He is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Ashcroft is a devoted husband and father of three young daughters. He understands your concerns as a parent and will treat your children as he would treat his own. He is fluent in Spanish and has completed several dental mission trips including one to Honduras and now travels yearly with his family to rural Guatemala to treat children with extreme dental needs. Dr. Ashcroft is very service oriented and he is actively involved with his local church where he has served in different capacities.
