HARVEST HANDS INTERNATIONAL - Key Persons
Diane (Dee) Hansen Dee has been a dedicated and active volunteer with Harvest Hands since 2014. Some of her involvement has been with promotional material, fund raising, trade and craft fairs and in 2016 she spent a month in Uganda, seeing first hand what Harvest Hands does and was thankful to be part of the mission team. Her career encompassed working administratively with executives in the public and private sector; she's accustomed with dealing with all levels of government; Boards and event planning. In retirement, her heart is with giving by sharing her God given talents through volunteering her time and energy, especially to non-profits locally, outside her community and internationally.
John Paul is a missionary kid. He grew up in Brazil and moved to America at age 9. His family has been farming in Illinois and he competed his farm training at Central College. He has a big heart for missions and he volunteered with Harvest Hands in 2013/14 over seeing the Uganda ministry.
Richard lives in Hampshire, England, where (in different towns) he has been connected with the life and mission of local churches for over forty years. For a similar amount of time he has been working in government jobs, in and out of London, initially for a county council in environmental conservation and development planning, later in strategic property management for national government. He has several connections with Africa: in the years 2003-2005 he lived in Uganda with his wife and two young sons whilst working as finance manager for Kisiizi Hospital. At other times he has visited Malawi, Kenya, Rwanda and Tunisia, as well as in more trips to Uganda. The sons are now both at university and Richard is partially retired, which he says gives more time for other kinds of work, including keeping up with Harvest Hands !
