This page will grow as I find more former homeschoolers who are interested in getting involved with leadership roles in this project. I am working with homeschoolers in the community, UW advisers, admissions counselors, and the director of First Year Programs on ways to identify and contact former homeschoolers who are already on campus. I hope that this group will function as a community for incoming homeschoolers who may benefit from the smaller network and the leadership opportunities provided by this initiative... As an organized group, we can try to improve higher education opportunities for our younger siblings, friends' younger siblings, or any of the 2,000,000+ homeschooled students in the U.S. who may want to go to college someday... This site will publicize and facilitate the homeschool advocacy efforts of students at University of Washington, including Homeschool Admissions Day and a homeschool scholarship.
