HOPE FOR HEARTS HORSE FARM - Key Persons
Abigail is the Barn Manager for Hope for Hearts Farm. She provides oversight to the management of our herd and their needs as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the barn, stalls and equipment.
Amy has been part of Hope for Hearts Farm since 2012. She is a Certified Equine Experiential Education Facilitator through E3A. Her passion is working with groups and organizations to assist them in identifying opportunities to strengthen their communication, relationship, teamwork and leadership skills.
She has a Bachelors degree in Business Finance from Liberty University and is a member of the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A).
Amy is one of Hope for Hearts Farm's founding board members. In her 9 years of serving on the board she has been a vital part of providing direction for the organization's growth and in marketing and raising funds for our fundraising events. Amy also assists with our corporate Journey to Leadership program as a Certified Equine Experiential Education Facilitator.
Amy lives with her husband and four children in Bargersville, IN.
Angie has served on the Hope for Hearts Farm's board for 8 years. She has been an important part of providing guidance and leadership for our Confident Kids Camp and Confident Cowgirls programs. Angie has been pivotal in community education as well as raising funds for our fundraising events.
Angie lives with her husband and daughter on their farm in Morgantown, IN.
Kathleen uses her experience, training, and coaching skills to help executives, teams, students, and individuals lead more effectively. She integrates Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) experiences and Clifton Strengths© to illuminate what horses can teach us about ourselves and how we work with others. This helps clients to develop more positive relationships and better communication, resulting in good leaders becoming great leaders and transforms working groups into high-performing teams.
She is the president of Equ-Insights, Execute Director of the ECHO Foundation, and serves on the National Board of Directors for the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A). She is an E3A Advanced Certified Practitioner with a specialty in corporate facilitation and has been a senior leader in higher education, nonprofit, and association management organizations for more than twenty years. Kathleen has taught graduate courses in Public and Nonprofit Administration and American Government and currently serves on the Master of Public Policy and Administration Advisory Board at the University of Tennessee. She earned a BA from Millsaps College and an MPA (Organizational Behavior, Policy and Program Evaluation) from the University of Tennessee. Her doctoral work is in Educational Leadership.
Kathleen Terry-Sharp is AVP for Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations at Christian Brothers University and President of Equ-Insights, LLC. A She has been a senior leader in higher education, nonprofit, and association management organizations for over twenty years and is is an Equine Experiential Education (E3A) Advanced Certified Corporate Facilitator. She is proud to be the President of the ECHO Foundation and to serve on the E3A National Board of Directors.
Kathleen lives with her husband and daughter in Memphis, TN.
Lisa Bowman is the Founder and President of Hope for Hearts Farm. Lisa is certified as Equine Experiential Education Facilitator and utilizes her coaching and training skills to assist executives, corporations, teams, groups & individuals to transform into their highest potential by developing skills and behaviors that positively impact their leadership, relationships, communication and overall well-being.
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Ball State University. She led Indiana's largest homecare organization for 14 years, providing leadership to over 350 employees. During that time, she developed leadership trainings and competencies for various departments.
In addition to her certification as an Equine Experiential Education Facilitator, she has also received her Advanced Corporate Experiential Education Facilitation certification and is trained in utilizing CliftonStrengths and Personal Wellness and Development alongside Equine Assisted Learning principles.
Lisa is a member of and serves on the National Board of Directors for the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A). Lisa has traveled to co-facilitate and assist at other equine programs nationally.
Lisa has been a keynote speaker for multiple organizations and is in the process of writing her first book for the Equine Assisted Learning world.
Nicole has been a part of Hope for Hearts Farm since 2017. She assists with both individual and group sessions and has seen first-hand the impact that these sessions have on the individuals that visit the farm.
Nicole has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a Master's degree in Education from Indiana University. She is a member of the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A) and is certified as an Equine Experiential Education Facilitator. Nicole has received her instructor and facilitator certification in Strengths-Based Education.
Nicole has 15 years of experience in the field of education including teaching, counseling, coaching, and mentoring youth. Away from the farm, Nicole works for the Center Grove Community School Corporation, volunteers with CYBC, leads a tutoring ministry, and coaches a girl's worship team. She believes wholeheartedly in the mission and vision of Hope for Hearts Horse Farm!
Nicole joined our board in 2020. She is certified as an Equine Experiental Education Facilitator through E3A. Nicole is a vital part of our Hope for Hearts program as she enjoys the personal development and well being aspect of working with individuals to experience transformations in their lives through working with the horses.
