In 2000, I began my career as a Sonar Technician Submarines (STS) in the US Navy Submarine Fleet. I completed multiple successful missions from 2000-2006 and was then selected to teach at the Naval Submarine School in Groton, Connecticut. I earned the distinction of a Master Training Specialist and used that experience to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University in 2008.After serving in the US Navy for a decade, I was Honorably Discharged in 2010 to focus on education and research. With my experience in developing submarine systems, I enrolled in the University of Connecticut (UCONN) Graduate School in pursuit of further education. At UCONN, I focused on new technologies and cognitive psychology, earning a Master of Arts and a Post-Masters in Educational Psychology.In late 2015, I was recruited by the US Navy once again, this time to become one of their leading Systems Specialists at the Submarine Learning Center (SLC) Headquarters in Groton Naval Submarine..
