JULINGTON BAPTIST CHURCH

August is the 8th month of the year. It reminds us that we have been blessed to see 7 months drift into the night of life. What have we done deserving of a "well done" from our Master? Jesus said of Himself; "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." (John 9:4) Every day is another opportunity to work on that which is weak, fix that which is broken and make that which is needed. Time is in God's hand. If you are reading this message, there is time. Abraham, the Father of Faith, had these words to remember him; "Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people." (Genesis 25:8) A life filled with accomplishments makes the weaning days more joyous. Nothing is worse than the feeling of not having accomplished the accomplishable or not having given due diligence to that which God has called us to do.
