A part of the purchase of the farm included a commercial herd of Hereford cattle. That original herd evolved into the Red Brangus herd we presently enjoy. Our dairy goat herd began with 4H projects, but by the time our children were grown, we were deep into the breeding and raising of quality milk goats. For several years we concentrated on Nubian goats; we showed all over Texas and had a busy exporting business. We no longer show or export, and our milk goat herd now includes Alpines, LaManchas and our most recent addition, some excellent Saanens. We enjoy a very brisk raw milk business utilizing a herd share program which allows lease owners to participate in the product of the herd, including raw milk, chevre and various types of cheese. Our breeding programs produce outstanding breed stock from all of the animals we breed.
