Hi, I'm Charlie Counts, the owner and voice of Local Seafood Delivery. We are a tight-crewed, small business that formed in 2010. I live in Salem, VA and personally travel to Topsail Island, NC to pick up fresh seafood from our friends at Surf City Crab, a seafood market on the island. My mission is simple: Bring fresh, authentic seafood to my family and fellow seafood lovers here in the Roanoke Valley... During a family beach trip to Topsail Island in the summer of 2010, we loaded up a cooler of fresh, locally caught seafood and brought it to The Harvest Table restaurant in Meadowview, VA, where my Dad sold our Black Angus cattle and where my Mom and Brother worked at the time. The restaurant, opened in 2007, was a pioneer in the local food movement until its closure in 2022... The seafood was a huge hit at The Harvest Table, and that's when the lightbulb went off in my head.
