John Decker

John Decker has been involved in the automotive industry for many years. Previously, he has been in automobile sales, an F&I Manager, a General Manager, and a Dealer Principal. John's goal was always to own his own business and be successful and profitable. He wanted to share his knowledge with others so they could grow to be all they desired to be. He can now say that with lots of help and hard work, he's been able to accomplish both. His goal now is to pass on what he's learned. His automotive career started as a salesperson at a Ford dealership in Michigan, in the early '70s and then a Lincoln Mercury store where he sold retail and handled large fleet accounts. In 1980, he became the sales manager at a Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership and was promoted to General Manager and eventually became a partner. During 1987 with the help of General Motors, Motors Holding Division, he bought a Chevrolet point in Cedar Springs, Michigan, and a Chrysler Dodge store in Ithaca, Michigan. In 2003 he added a Pontiac-GMC-Cadillac in Ionia, Michigan. As a result of his automotive career and his desire to see his staff grow, many of his former employees have gone on to be successful in the automotive field as managers, general managers, and dealers. Currently, John is consulting and training sales and service personnel in customer service, personal development, and dealership opportunities.
