Andrew Crowell

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he majored in Neurobiology. Dr. Andrew pursued his training to become a dentist earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University. Following dental school, he went on to complete a two-year postdoctoral residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Andrew worked as a Pediatric Dentist in Richmond, Virginia following residency, but has decided it is time to move back so he can be closer to friends and family, cheer on the Badgers, eat more cheese curds and call Madison, Wisconsin his home! In his free time, he loves exploring the outdoors, biking, golfing and cooking.

Anthony Hernandez

Understanding each individual child and creating a fun environment that uniquely suits that child is an everyday goal of Dr. Hernandez. His tireless enthusiasm towards children's dentistry helps the patient and parents relax and enjoy their time together at the office. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa in 2000, "Dr. Tony" obtained his certificate in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Alabama Birmingham College of Dentistry and Birmingham Children's Hospital. Following the completion of his residency program, Dr. Hernandez moved back to Wisconsin, where he was born and raised. Professionally, Dr. Tony is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Dane County Dental Society.

Dr. Allison Dowd is a Wisconsin native, growing up in Milwaukee. After earning her dental degree from Marquette University in 2001, she earned her certificate in pediatric dentistry from The Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 2003. Read More Dr. Allison Dowd is a Wisconsin native, growing up in Milwaukee. After earning her dental degree from Marquette University in 2001, she earned her certificate in pediatric dentistry from The Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 2003. Dr. Allison joined Children's Dental Center of Madison in 2003, where she found partners that shared in her philosophy of providing excellent dental care to children and adolescents. Madison has become a great home for Dr. Allison. She enjoys the outdoors and family time with her husband and two children. Dr. Allison is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Wisconsin Society of Pediatric Dentists, Dane County Dental Society, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. She is also a Diplomat and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and serves as a trustee on the Dane County Dental Board, as the pediatric lead for the WDA Mission of Mercy, and on the Dean Medical Clinic cleft lip and palate team. In addition, Dr. Allison is involved in the education of dentists at several levels. At the Max Pohle Dental Clinic at Meriter Hospital, she serves as chief of pediatric dentistry and is involved in the training of the residents. She has given lectures through the WDA for the Dental Home, and through Children's Health Alliance of Wisconsin for treating patients with special needs.

Dr. Britney Bries

Dr. Britney Bries loves being a pediatric dentist! She believes in creating a safe, stress-free, collaborative environment where kids learn that oral health can be fun and finds great joy in helping families establish a life-long commitment to oral health in a friendly and approachable manner. A huge Packer and Badger fan, Dr. Britney grew up in Green Bay and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her dental degree from Tufts University in Boston, where she was the president of the American Academy of Public Health Dentistry and spent extensive time working with at-risk and homeless children and teens. She then traded the snowy weather for the sunshine and received her certificate in pediatric dentistry from NYU Langone Medical Center/Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc. in Tampa, Florida, and was selected as chief resident. She is so excited to be back in Madison and loves exploring all that the area has to offer with her husband, Devon. Dr. Britney is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Wisconsin Society of Pediatric Dentists, and the Dane County Dental Society and is committed to furthering her education to provide the best, most up-to-date dental care for the families of Madison.

Dr. Liam Smyth

Dr. Liam is just a big kid at heart, but he is passionate about providing inclusive, patient-centered care to meet each child's individual needs. He believes that he can foster lifelong positive oral health outcomes by providing children and adolescents with a dental home and the tools they need to succeed. Dr. Liam likes to make each visit fun, relaxing, and educational for both parents and patients. Although a Maryland native, Dr. Liam grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri and attained his dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Making his way up north, Dr. Liam then practiced as a general dentist for several years in Minneapolis, where he also advocated at the state level with his involvement in the Minnesota Dental Association's Barriers to Care Committee. He received his certificate in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and gained extensive training in sedation and care for children with special healthcare needs. Dr. Liam, his wife Aleigh, and their cat (Chauncey) are so excited to return to the northern Midwest and call Madison home. When not battling cavities, Liam can be found on the local bike trails, at his favorite coffee shop, or exploring all the beautiful state parks in Wisconsin. Dr. Liam is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is always striving to stay up to date with the latest advancements in the field of pediatric dentistry to provide the best care possible for the children and adolescents of Madison.
