I have owned a camera, and traveled with it, for as long as I can remember. Self taught at 19 with a Canon A1 and a few Zeis lenses, I did my learning on the go. I discovered workshops at 50, and participated annually with The Rocky Mountain School, Santa Fe Institute, and LEPP (George) now Light Photography Studios - to name just a few. This exposure to great photography, (and great photographers) along with a lot of travel, facilitated my development as a through-the-lens artist with a personal style and outlook... The time spent in India and Africa has shaped both my World View and my Work. Following Wildlife founded my appreciation for light and movement. Capturing Architecture taught me to see shape as an expression of love as well as function. My image of Fatipur Sikri (India) was published in Southwest Art (2002) as part of a special retrospective on emerging California Artists.
