The Maryland Energy Marketers Coalition ("MEMC") is a group of like-minded competitive energy suppliers that serve residential, commercial and industrial customers in the state with both electricity and natural gas... The members of the MEMC are committed to building a fully competitive energy market in Maryland, in which consumers have access to a wide range of options, as well as the ability to select the energy products and services that best fit their needs. The MEMC further believes that robust consumer education and protections are vital to a proper-functioning marketplace. To that end, the MEMC is committed to working with the Maryland Public Service Commission, Office of People's Counsel, electric utilities, natural gas utilities, other competitive suppliers, and consumer advocacy groups to ensure that Maryland consumers' energy needs are met safely, reliably, and with an emphasis on meeting customer needs and preferences.
