Owner Dwight Bayne founded the business in 1974 while still a graduate student at S.U.N.Y. New Paltz. An interest in the Environment and his love of the outdoors, combined with the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley soon persuaded him to fill a local need for quality tree care. The business grew quickly. Already an accomplished tree climber and pruner, Dwight sought out a broader understanding of tree pathology and insect and disease issues.
