I recently am having trouble again in which my primary doctor suggested surgery. Dr. Bakker again looked at the situation. Asked if I would first like to try the shot again instead of expensive surgery to see if we could get it under control. He was caring enough to tell me after to use the hand as much as possible to help it work the best. Next day I am almost 100% better. No guarantee how long it will last, but thankful he discussed the option and didn't focus only on the expensive, painful surgery. He's an extremely knowledgeable doctor with a lot of integrity.

Dr. Mark J.R. Moulton is the best orthopedic surgeon I have ever met. He is very caring to his patients and listens to what they have to say and he tries his best to fix what ails you. - Richard B. Dr. Moulton is a gift from God. I had a L4-5 laminectomy. It was so difficult to walk before surgery I was down for about 2 months prior. It was so difficult to use the restroom, shower, get dressed - all things we take for granted. After surgery I could tell a huge difference on how my back felt. Dr. Moulton and his staff are kind and caring they listen and all have great bedside manner. Hopefully I won't need his help again but if I do he's who I'd call for help... Thanks to the great Dr. Moulton. - Tracey M. I consider Dr. Mark J.R. Moulton, one of the very tops in his field!!! I had an old cervical fusion that broke. Dr. Moulton removed the old hardware and applied a new (much) updated appliance. I have more movement in my neck than I have in a long time. When I was in a car accident and injured my back, I only wanted Dr. Moulton. He operated, performing a fusion on my lower back. That was 4 yrs ago and I still recommend Dr. Moulton most highly. - Nk K. Dr. Mark Moulton is the most phenomenal doctor I have ever had the privilege of working with. I have had chronic back pain my entire life and he was the only doctor that gave me some hope. He provided me with excellent care and his bedside manner is top notch. His knowledge and expertise were beyond anything I have ever seen. He had a solution for everything. He was easy to get a hold of and talk to. Most of all he truly cares for his patients and wants the best outcome for them. - Emily G. I absolutely love Dr. Moulton. I had two previous back surgeries that were failed. He assured me it wasn't in my head that I was still in pain. He did my surgery over again. It has been life changing and I am forever grateful. He is the most personable doctor I have ever met. - Lori H. Dr. Moulton is a great surgeon. Because of his skills I am able to walk again and have a normal life! The whole staff was very professional and helpful all the way through the process! - Raphael D. I had back surgery 3 months ago by Dr. Moulton. I had suffered for years with lower back pain and finally numbness in my legs and feet. Dr. Moulton said I needed a fusion. My disc was destroyed and needed replaced. I could not have asked for a better outcome. I am pain free. Dr. Moulton is a very caring and wonderful surgeon. He listened to all of my concerns and addressed them. I would recommend him to anyone including my own family. - Marcia G. I had to have surgery on two fractured vertebrae. I did not know who to see. I was in horrible pain. I made it to the Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon urgent care. The doctor there and the staff were wonderful. The x-ray showed two fractured vertebrae. I told them I wanted the best. I was given Dr. Mark Molton. He was and is the best. He got me in right away, did surgery and I am healing great . The horrible pain is gone . He is very thorough and has wonderful bedside manners. He assured me I would be fine and he was right. Thank you Dr. Mark Moulton. You are the best. - Vickie W. I would give Dr. Moulton 10 stars if I could. On 11/28/18 I had a 9 level fusion (T10 to pelvis) to correct scoliosis and repair arthritic damage in my lumbar spine. Dr. Moulton was straightforward about what my options were as well as my prognosis post surgery. He is an incredibly gifted surgeon, his bedside manner is great, and he is a very kind man. I'm am beyond blessed and grateful that he was able to repair my messed up spine with 7 plus hours of surgery. Five months later I am basically pain free and well on my way to regaining my strength and stamina for activities I was not able to do for 3 years. My only regret is that I put off a referral to Dr. Mark for so long! - Kris H. First off, my back surgeries started back in 1999 from an auto accident. Dr. Moulton came on after my original surgeon moved to another state. After over 2 years of searching for someone that would touch my back (because no one wants to work on something another surgeon started... I heard this over and over again) I met Dr. Moulton and he was willing to see what he could do. Not even 2 full months post op I was off all medication!!! Something that hadn't happened since 1999! I am now almost two years post op and feel great, most of the time, still not on meds and actually enjoying my life. Cannot thank Dr. Moulton enough!!!!! - Tammy S. I saw Dr. Moulton for neck pain and neuropathy. I was scheduled for surgery within two weeks! His staff are always kind and patient with my questions! I had a 3-level cervical fusion with titanium disc replacements. As a patient and former neurosurgery nurse, I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Moulton. He has given me back a quality of life I never thought I'd see again! He's the best spinal surgeon by reputation, and I can now say that first hand! - Dorothy G. Two months ago Dr. Moulton operated on me - decompression and fusion on L3 to L5. The surgery went smoothly. A month after the surgery I could easily walk 2 miles without any pain. Now two months after my surgery I walk 3 miles, sometimes brisk without any problem. I am glad I had this surgery. Dr Moulton was highly recommended to me by friends and doctors. Now I highly recommend him to everyone. - Angeline S.
