PROJECT ON SPATIAL SCIENCES

Project on Spatial Sciences is a research and action group that finds ocular and commercial centric culture as an opportunity to question the responsibility of space. By studying the multiplicity of sensations, empirical qualities, psychological processes, and technological machinery that comprise space, we shift the focus from the individual parts to the whole. We situate architecture less in the built environment than in a more general condition of space, a universal sea that organizes things and communicates information. With its temperatures, odors, memories, movements, sounds, radio frequencies, or hyperlinks, space is never empty but always full... Questioning the responsibility of space.
