The South Boston Lithuanian Citizens' Association (SBLCA) was formed in 1899 for the purpose of pursuing social and cultural opportunities and promoting good citizenship among newly arrived Lithuanian-American immigrants in the United States. The SBLCA established a place where members had access to a private facility for organizational and cultural activities, meetings and social events.
