STONE'S THROW POTTERY

Stone's Throw Pottery is made by Sandra and Bill Jones. We are often asked why we named our pottery Stone's Throw. We throw stoneware and our studio is a stone's throw from our house, how could we not name it Stone's Throw... We, Sandra & Bill Jones, live in Reading, PA. We both love feeling a shape develop under our fingers. We often ask the other for their opinion while throwing and believe the feedback makes us better potters. We work on pieces together, from making drawings of potential pots to Bill throwing a pot and Sandra carving on it. We share the glazing chores and it is hard to say that any one pot is actually 100% either of ours. We both, however, have pots we claim as our own and sign them that way. But as time goes on, more and more are signed as Jones - Stone's Throw Pottery.
