Shop Sauce is a secret family recipe that has been perfected over 25 years by Keith Smith of the Pete Smith Automotive Group. Smith's father founded the Pete Smith Garage in 1947, near Louisburg, North Carolina. The early business (pictured in this photo) used a tree limb to hoist cars up for repairs. Since then, the Smith family automotive business has grown into its own group of garages and repair shops, offering a complete slate of services and a comprehensive selection of tires... But Shop Sauce is more than just a barbecue sauce. With its secretly perfected blend of spices, it has a tangy, savory flavor and can be used on all types of food as a marinade, as a dipping sauce, and as an ingredient in other recipes. In addition to traditional barbecue grilling recipes, the Smith family recommends using their sauce to make deviled eggs, guacamole, and salsa.
