Brenna joined Wilson Water Group in 2017 and has 10 years of experience in agricultural water consumptive use analyses; interstate basin planning; water rights analyses; remote sensing; and hydrologic modeling. Brenna grew up helping on her family's ranches in South Park and the San Luis Valley, where she gained valuable knowledge in agriculture. Her background in agriculture gives her a unique perspective that allows her to better assist her clients, and her technical skills help her to provide innovative solutions.
Brenna earned her M.S. degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Irrigation Engineering from Colorado State University. After graduation she worked on interstate water resources issues using hydrologic and water accounting models and remote sensing. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Wyoming. In her free time she loves hiking with her two dogs, fly fishing, running and traveling.
Erin has 30 years of experience in basin-wide water resources planning and modeling and is the principal owner of Wilson Water Group. She has a strong background in water resource planning, consumptive use modeling, and surface water allocation modeling and has been involved in every aspect of the State of Colorado's Decision Support System efforts for over 25 years. Erin's expertise in basin-wide consumptive use and surface water modeling is widely recognized, and she frequently provides training to state and federal staff, non-profit organizations, and other water resource consultants.
Erin is a Colorado native with degrees in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado. Erin currently serves on the Board of Directors for Colorado Water Congress and the Colorado Water Trust. She routinely publishes and presents at local and national conferences in her areas of expertise. Erin is a life-long skier and enjoys playing golf with family, friends, and colleagues.
Kara has worked in the water resources engineering field for over 20 years and assists clients with their basin-wide water resources planning needs. Using her experience in water rights analysis and surface water modeling, Kara helps her clients look at the whole basin and understand how other uses in the basin may affect their ability to develop and protect their water supplies. Kara has worked with clients in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska to develop basin-wide planning models and use these models to understand current and potential future conditions and investigate water resources solutions.
Kara obtained her degree in Environmental Engineering from Northern Arizona University in 2001 and is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Nebraska. She is involved with the Colorado Agricultural Water Alliance and is on the One World One Water Center Advisory Council. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and twin girls.
Lisa joined Wilson Water Group in 2015 and has over 10 years of experience in the field. Her focus is on long-range basin planning efforts in Colorado, grounded in engineering analyses using consumptive use and water rights allocation models. Lisa's analyses are used by her clients for a wide variety of planning efforts, ranging from due diligence Water Court filings to modeling streamflows for environmental purposes. Lisa provides her clients with data-driven information in user-friendly formats, including large group workshops, one-on-one training, concise technical memos, or comprehensive reports.
Lisa earned her undergraduate degree in Hydrology and Water Resources from the University of Arizona in 2009 and her master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2012. Her research offered two new applications of statistical methods for tree-ring reconstruction of streamflow in the Lower Colorado River and the Gila River. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and serves on the American Water Resources Association - Colorado Chapter board of directors. Lisa enjoys hiking with her husband and can't wait to teach her daughter how to ski.
Mitchell joined Wilson Water Group in 2021 after earning his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Civil Systems program at the University of Colorado in Boulder. His graduate research explored the potential of large-scale teleconnections to inform seasonal water supplies for the Klamath River Basin and he developed the Klamath RiverWare Operations Model management tool for the Bureau of Reclamation.
Mitchell brings his hydrologic and hydraulic modeling skills to WWG along with a strong background in the agricultural sector, which he gained growing up in rural Iowa and working at research farms during his undergraduate years at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In his free time, Mitchell enjoys experiencing the outdoors of Colorado with his friends, whether it be through snowboarding, backpacking, or fly fishing.
Stephen earned his degree in Civil Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Outside of work, Stephen enjoys getting outside with friends and family to hike, bike, ski and kayak.
