Charlotte DeCecco

Since gaining her undergraduate law degree from the University of Surrey, Charlotte has obtained her LPC and master's degree from the University of Law, Guildford and completed her training contract, qualifying as a solicitor in January 2024. Charlotte works across a variety of family matters including divorce and separation, financial settlements, private child matters and pre-nuptial/post-nuptial agreements. She has a particular interest in financial settlements and is keen to gain more experience in handling complex financial assets. Warm and compassionate, Charlotte always works to put the interests of her client first. As a member of Resolution, she is committed to resolving issues as amicably as possible, to minimise the levels of stress, time, and expense for her clients. Her commitment to resolving issues without resorting to the courtroom, means that she is eager to train in collaborative law, an approach that help clients reach agreements without going to court. A further ambition is to improve on her French language skills, in order to advise French-speaking clients in their native tongue. Along with spending time with family, friends and her much-loved dog, Jessie, Charlotte enjoys amateur dramatics and performing in the annual pantomime. While at university she won a Student Union Award for Best Student Run Event of the Year for the Law Society's Virtual Murder Mystery event. Thankfully, this did not persuade Charlotte to embark on a criminal law career and we're delighted she has joined us to build on her career as a family lawyer.

Esra Agirbas

Esra obtained her undergraduate law degree from Nottingham Trent University, before taking the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law. After completing her training contract, she qualified as a Solicitor in July 2023. Esra deals with a variety of family matters including divorce and separation, finances, children matters, non-molestation and occupation orders. A fluent Turkish speaker, she will be able to advise members of the Turkish community on divorce and separation issues. Driven by a long-held desire to help people during times of huge emotional upheaval, Esra is a strong believer in resolving matters in the most cost-effective and amicable way possible. As a result, her future plans include training as a Family Mediator. Esra enjoys playing netball in her spare time and is currently playing for a team in the Dulwich League. She is a passionate guitar player and loves going to concerts and musicals, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Hana Khodabocus

Hana studied Chemistry and Law at the University of Bristol, before completing her Legal Practice Course in 2008 at the College of Law in Guildford. She finished her training contract with a reputable firm in West Sussex, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2011. Prior to joining Tisshaws, Hana previously worked at another specialist family law firm based in Surrey. Hana joined Tisshaws in September 2016 and advises in all areas of family law including separation, divorce, injunction matters, and the financial and children arrangements associated with relationship breakdown. As a member of Resolution and a Resolution trained Family Mediator, Hana is committed to minimising parental conflict and resolving matters as constructively and amicably as possible. However, where a case does need to go to court, Hana is highly experienced in litigation and works collaboratively with skilled experts to achieve the best outcome for her clients. Clients praise Hana for her ability to empathise, her meticulous advice and persuasive legal arguments, along with her willingness to go the extra mile to achieve the right results for them and their families. Her calm yet strategic approach, unrivalled knowledge of family law, diligence and total professionalism are greatly valued by those she represents. Lidia Farrell

Lidia Farrell joined Hammnett Osborne Tisshaw in 2010 . Following the de-merger in 2012 Lidia was delighted to continue to work for Gilva at Tisshaws. Lidia has been advising clients in her capacity as a Graduate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2015. Lidia deals with all aspects of family law including issues relating to separation, divorce, dissolution of civil partnership, finance, domestic violence and private law children matters. Lidia is also a fluent Spanish speaker and has advised and received various referrals from members of the Spanish speaking community. Her skills have also proved useful in financial matters with Spanish property. Lidia is committed to obtaining fair and practical solutions through negotiation avoiding court proceedings where possible. Approachable and friendly, she always strives to achieve the best result possible for her clients. In December 2023, Lidia qualified as a Family Mediator to help families resolve issues arising from family breakdown with as little conflict as possible. When not working Lidia enjoys playing squash, cooking and socialising with friends and family.

Richard Adams

Having graduated from Birmingham University, Richard went on to study at the College of Law in Guildford, completing his training in London and qualifying as a solicitor in 2006. Since then, Richard has specialised in family law, advising clients in relation to the issues that can arise at the end of relationships on separation and divorce, including financial and children arrangements; as well as at the beginning of relationships such as pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and the planning of families, particularly in the LGBT community, where issues around surrogacy and co-parenting can be complex. Committed to offering his clients more conciliatory approaches to dispute resolution and sparing them the added stress, expense and timescales of the courts, Richard is a trained Collaborative Lawyer, as well as acting as an independent Mediator for separating couples These more cooperative approaches based on face-to-face meetings to resolve issues and secure the best outcomes, allow Richard to properly get to know and support his clients through challenging times. Richard is also an accredited Resolution Specialist in Complex Financial and Property Matters. A regular contributor to the Family Law Journal and Resolution Review, Richard has also blogged on family law issues for Huffington Post UK. Based in Brighton, Richard loves the combination of city life, seafront walks and easy access to the glorious Sussex countryside.

Verity Eunson-Hickey

Verity obtained her undergraduate law degree from the University of East Anglia and then went to BPP Law School in London. She qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and joined Tisshaws as an Associate Solicitor in October 2016, having previously practised primarily in Brighton. Verity has experience dealing with a wide variety of family issues including divorce and civil partnership breakdown, financial settlements and children matters. She also deals with non-matrimonial relationship breakdown. Verity qualified as a Collaborative practitioner in 2018. Verity has also recently become a Resolution Accredited Specialist in the fields of Private Children and Complex Financial Remedy cases. Verity is an active member of Resolution and Chair of the West Sussex regional committee. She is committed to resolving family matters in the most amicable way possible for the benefit of everyone involved. She prides herself on her high level of client care and her ability to help clients achieve a positive, cost effective, outcome to their situation. Away from the office Verity is kept busy by her young son and also tries to squeeze in as much running as she can.
