Dimitris holds a degree in electrical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He has been involved in the telecommunications industry for the past ten years, holding senior positions in the Greek National Telecommunications and Post Regulator (EETT) and more recently as adviser to fixed and mobile operators. He was appointed as member of the Greek National Telecommunications and Post Regulator (EETT) in 1996, and from 1997 until 2005 he was the Vice President of EETT responsible for telecommunications. During his tenure he oversaw the full liberalization of the Greek telecommunications market and its alignment with EU legislation and regulations. He has written a number of articles on telecommunications and he is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (since 1979) and the British Institute of Energy.

Irina is a qualified attorney in the State of New York. She has studied law in the UK and got her PhD at the European University Institute in Florence. She recently published her book "Competition Law and Patents: A Follow-on Innovation Perspective in the Biopharmaceutical Industry" dealing with the interface between European competition law and intellectual property rights. Irina has worked for the European Commission in the Mergers for Consumer Goods Unit of DG Competition and in the European and Competition law department of the UK law firm Charles Russell, where she coordinated a study commissioned by the European Commission on the unbundling of electricity and gas across various European countries. She has also worked on secondment to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Nikos holds a law degree from the University of Athens and his LLM and Ph.D from the University of Edinburgh, School of Law. He divides his practice equally between regulatory and policy advice in the electronic communications sector on the one hand, and competition law advocacy and compliance on the other. In particular, he advises Governments, National Regulatory Authorities and market players on every aspect of telecommunications, media and IT regulation, with emphasis on Broadband, Access and Interconnection Regulation, Licensing, Data Protection and Security, Broadcasting Regulation, New Media & Content Regulation, Electronic Commerce. Nikos also specialises in competition law with emphasis on mergers, defending or prosecuting cases of abuse of a dominant position and the effect of competition law on agreements. Furthermore, he advises market players and national regulatory authorities on the processes of market definition and market analysis, in line with the EU electronic communications regime and the principles of competition law. Nikos lectures and writes regularly on issues relating to the application of EU competition law and ex ante regulation and is a Visiting Lecturer on electronic communications regulation and policy at the National Technical University of Athens and a Teaching Fellow at the Athens Information Technology on competition and electronic communications policy and law. He has recently published his book "EU Competition Law and Regulation in the Converging Telecommunications, Media & IT Sectors". Andreas is a senior regulatory and competition lawyer and is currently Chairman of A.A.C.S. Limited. Andreas has more than 23 years' legal experience with more than 16 years of specialisation in the field of communications (telecommunications and broadcasting) regulation. Andreas is a lawyer and has extensive experience of regulatory issues, competition investigations and market assessment, stakeholder consultations, policy development and strategy programme development. Andreas has held a number of senior positions for some of the world's leading communications operators and regulators. He has been, inter alia, the General Director of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (TRA), Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs of a new fixed telephony entrant in Greece (Tellas), Senior Consultant to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Hong Kong (OFTA) and the Broadcasting Authority of Hong Kong (BA). He also held a number of posts in the UK telecommunications regulatory authority (OFTEL, now OFCOM), the last being that of the ag. Director of Competition and Fair Trading. Andreas has an appropriate skills matrix that combines excellent leadership and communications skills as well as programme, project, risk and people management. At the same time he has the necessary detailed knowledge to provide the quality assurance required in regulatory work.

Mark has over 15 years of telecommunications experience. He is an economist by training. He has extensive experience of regulatory issues, cost modelling, revenue modelling and profitability analysis of telecommunications operators, especially mobile and fixed line operators. From 2002 to 2005 Mark was a Director in the Economic Consulting Practice as well as the cross-practice Technology, Media and Telecommunications Industry (TMT) Team of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Prior to that, Mark was a Director at Arthur Andersen and was head of Andersen's Regulatory Strategy service line initiative across Europe. This included all aspects of regulation, but focused particularly on Accounting Separation, regulatory costing and interconnection charges (including LRIC). In addition, Mark was responsible for Andersen's Cost Management and Performance Measurement service line in the UK. This included all aspects of cost management/performance measurement, but focused particularly on network costing systems and profitability analysis. Before joining Arthur Andersen, Mark was a manager in Coopers & Lybrand's Telecommunications Strategy and Policy Group. His work focused exclusively on economics, in particular on regulation, competition and industrial structure as they relate to telecommunications.

Nicos has served as the CEO/General Manager of the Cyprus Telecommunications (CYTA) from December 1998 until August 2007. He acquired this post after a 25-year successful career in the Organisation, serving, inter alia, as Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager in charge of Operations and of the Technical and Informatics Services, Manager of the Informatics Services/ Information Management Division. Tommaso has a magna cum laude degree in engineering from Turin and holds a MSc and a PhD in economics from the London School of Economics, where he also taught until 2001. He is Professor of Economics at Imperial College Business School, and also Professor of Economics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Italy). He is a Fellow of CEPR. Prof. Valletti's main research interests are in industrial economics, regulation, and telecommunications economics. He is a member of the panel of academic advisors to Ofcom, the UK communications regulator. He is also a member of the panel of academic advisors of the UK Competition Commission. He has advised numerous bodies, including the European Commission, OECD, and the World Bank on topics such as network interconnection, mobile telephony markets, and spectrum auctions.

Peter has over 39 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He spent 22 years in British Telecom in a range of senior management posts related to network engineering. He then moved to OFTEL, now OFCOM (1993-2003) where he served as Director of Technology. He specializes in telecommunications technology, including issues such as numbering and number portability, interconnection, broadband access, network resilience, and the impact of regulation on new technologies such as VoIP and Next Generation Networks. In some of his recent projects he advised the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology in Jordan on their 2003 Policy Statement, the Peruvian Ministry of Transportation and Communications on number portability and the Regulatory Authority of Saudi Arabia on local loop unbundling and wholesale broadband access products.

Martin is a regulatory economist specialising in the network industries, including airports, broadcasting, energy, posts, railways, telecommunications and water. He has published extensively in these fields, and has held professorial positions at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, UK, and the Department of Economics, Brunel University, UK. In 2010/11, Martin held the BP Centennial Chair at the London School of Economics, based in the Department of Law. He is now Visiting Professor at Imperial College Business School.

Richard is a policy and regulatory affairs consultant specialising in the regulated sectors, especially electronic communications. His work has worked on issues such as market analysis, economic assessment of markets and advising firms on public policy and regulatory developments. He has worked for local and national governments, regulatory authorities and the European Commission. He holds a degree in Politics form York University and a Masters degree (with Distinction) in Competition and Regulation Policy from the ESRC Centre for Competition Policy, University of East Anglia, where he is also researching his Doctorate.

Ros is a psychology graduate and Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (UK). She has over 30 years experience developing policy and in general management in the public sector. This includes 4 years on public expenditure control and the private finance initiative at HM Treasury and 4 years in The European Secretariat of the Cabinet Office. Her main specialism is human resources (HR) and she has over 20 years experience in HR management and leadership in a wide range and size of multi-disciplinary unionized organizations. She has a successful record in the delivery and management of change; reward and recognition: setting up or re-focusing HR teams; preparing to merge with other organizations or re-structuring after mergers. She spent 11 years at the UK telecommunications regulatory authority (Oftel), latterly as Deputy Director of Resources.
