A Certified Public Accountant since 2000, Jennifer has over 30 years experience in accounting and tax work. Jennifer started her accounting career with her father's construction company, working her way up from Bookkeeper to Treasurer. During her 15 years there she began pursuing her accounting degree and CPA certification. She started her first accounting business in 1997 providing tax preparation services, business start-up and consultations services for individuals, small businesses and non-profits. In 2003, Jennifer felt led to leave Ohio and move to Georgia to take on a full-time position with a missions oriented non-profit organization. She continued providing tax services until her job became more than a full-time project. While with the mission organization Jennifer was in charge of the overhauling of the accounting department and implementing new accounting policies, procedures and financial reporting processes. She was also in charge of training staff locally and abroad on the whys and how of proper record keeping in a faith based organization. After 4 years, her "mission" complete, Jennifer was drawn back into the public accounting arena in 2008. After working for several firms, Jennifer started ACT Financial Services, Inc. in 2011 so she could focus on the tax and accounting needs of Gainesville, GA small business owners and individuals. Her direct hands on approach continues to provide anxiety relief and clarity to individuals and small business owners so they can focus on managing their business instead of their books. As a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Jennifer uses her coaching background along with her QuickBooks expertise to provide her clients with individualized training to meet their specific needs. Likewise her compassion and understanding of the stress the subject of "taxes" brings to many enables her to ease her clients' anxiety and help them meet their tax filing requirements. Jennifer is a graduate of Mount Union College and obtained her business and accounting credits through Ohio State University and Ashland University.
