Amy Melton

Amy joined BOPT in August of 2023 after moving from Canyon, Tx. She graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor's in Science in 1997. She received her Master's in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2000 and has been practicing in a variety of settings with most of her years spent in Outpatient. She is knowledgeable in a variety of techniques and is a hands on therapist with training in myofascial release and spinal manipulation. She enjoys working out, sports, fishing and camping. She takes pride in educating her patients on the causes of their pain and dysfunction and providing tools needed to reach their desired outcomes.

Angelica Pena

Angelica was born and raised in West Texas. She received her bachelor's degree from UTSA in 2014 in Sports Medicine. In 2016, received her master's in health and Kinesiology. In 2020, she got her physical therapist assistant degree from South Plains College and has worked with us at BOPT ever since. Her hobbies include soccer, hiking, and is a pet mom to a dog and cat.

Cindy Kennon

Job Titles:
  • PTA
Cindy has worked with us for over 16 years. She is also the co-owner of Caprock Sports Rehab Center for the last 14 years. She and Mike have been married for 31 years and have 2 daughters, a son-in-law and are doting over their first grandbaby. Cindy's passion is helping her patients reach their functional outcomes, and enjoys getting to know each one on a personal level through the process.

Kennedy Dagley

Kennedy is from Archer City and moved to Lubbock in 2020, after marrying her high school sweetheart, Christopher. She went to PTA school at South Plains and graduated in 2023. She has been working at BOPT since graduation. Her hobbies include hunting, working out, and playing basketball.

Kutter Pirkle

Job Titles:
  • PTA
Kutter is from Shallowater, Texas and graduated from South Plains in 2021. He started working with us post-graduation in 2021. His hobbies include workout out, playing tennis, walking dogs, and going on bike rides.

Michael Spivey

Michael is from the Panhandle and moved to Ralls TX during high school. He has been a licensed massage therapist for 8 years and working at BOPT as a rehab tech since 2017. He loves watching The Lord of the Rings' trilogy on repeat in his spare time.

Rijo Abraham

Job Titles:
  • PT, DPT
Rijo is our functional dry needling practitioner here at BOPT. He was born in India and moved to Houston in 2006, then to Lubbock in 2017 to attend Texas Tech. He graduated from the University of Houston in 2017 with his Bachelor's in Kinesiology. He received his doctorate in physical therapy in 2020 from Texas Tech and has worked with BOPT ever since. His hobbies include watching and playing basketball, watching TV, and working out.

Ryan Underwood

Ryan is originally from El Paso and moved to Lubbock in 2007. He started his health and wellness career as a personal trainer in 2018 and then pursued his therapy profession. He graduated from South Plains in 2022, before he started his PTA with us at BOPT. He was a Rehab Tech since 2020. His hobbies are exercising and hiking. Fun fact about Ryan, is that he can perform a weighted pull-up with over 100 pounds attached!!
