The first graduating class of Bushton High School was in 1919. The last graduating class was in 1976. Starting in the fall of 1976, the Bushton school building was utilized as the high school building for Quivira Heights High School, being a consolidated school of students from the Bushton, Holyrood, and Lorraine areas and were part of USD#328. With bonds approved in 1997, a new building was provided. After the consolidation with Claflin, the District of Central Plains #112 was formed and the school was used as a Middle School building. Later USD #112 closed the building with the students being moved to other locations. The present building in Bushton is now owned by the City of Bushton and contains the City offices, Farmer Township Library, some small businesses and space providing other activities.
