Finance and Accounting professional, with over 20 years of experiences in Finance and Accounting field. He worked for International NGOs and UN Agency in a post disaster and post conflict area of Aceh and Nias Island for several years. Where he holds various positions including Senior Zone Accountant for World Vision International, Senior Finance and Accounting Manager for CARE International Indonesia, and Financial Reviewer for two of UNDP's projects, Strengthening of the Capacity of Civil Society Organizations in Aceh & Nias project and Nias Island Transition Project. Prior to joining CTI CFF, he worked for a US based private company, PT. Cargill Indonesia, for about 11 years, holds various positions in the company including, Site Accounting Manager for their Copra business, Management Information and Decision Support Analyst and Finance Analyst for their Food Ingredients and Biotechnology business. He was awarded a New Zealand government scholarship in 2011, where he took Master of Professional Accounting degree from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

Prior joining the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat Dr. Griffin has led and represented UPNG and SPREP at national, regional and international meetings. Dr. Griffin have over 20 years' experience of working in government, intergovernmental, and/or international organization. Dr. Griffin also has vast experience in managing, maintain and establishing partnership in work area pertinent to the organizations that he has worked for. Partnership including JICA, AusAID, NZAID, AFD, EU etc. Dr. Griffin leadership approach is about inclusiveness, he works with people and empower them to excel in their positions. Dr. Griffin holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of York in England; a Master of Science from the Australian National University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Science and Bachelor of Science, both from the University of Papua New Guinea. In the last 20 years, he has expanded his knowledge base and experience to cover terrestrial and marine science, environment, international and regional relations, public policy, public administration and laws and regulations that not only govern organizations but also regional and international frameworks and conventions.
