Andrew is the billing specialist for the team at the Dorothy Butler Law Firm. After attaining a management degree from Coastal Carolina University in 2008, Andrew moved to Texas to pursue his passion for music. While performing with several local bands in Austin by night, Andrew was working in property management at a Class A office building downtown by day. Following the pandemic, he sought a move out of the city and found his way to Dripping Springs and the Dorothy Butler Law Firm.
Although he calls Dripping Springs home base, Andrew works remotely. He enjoys both his in office team and his at-home team consisting of his longtime partner, Noelle - and their three dogs, Louie, Dexter, and Maeby. Working remote has given them the opportunity to travel the country in an RV, seeking out the best dog walking trails across the states!

Dorothy Lawrence is a seasoned financial attorney with over 13 years of experience in the fields of tax, bankruptcy and debtor defense. Upon graduation from Louisiana State University Law School, Dorothy continued her studies at the University of Denver to earn her LL.M. in taxation. After finishing her LL.M., Dorothy settled in Dripping Springs to raise a family. She opened her law firm at the kitchen table while raising an infant. That kitchen table law firm blossomed into the Dorothy Butler Law Firm. Since that time, she has been assisting individuals and business owners with tax preparation, defense from tax audits, offers in compromise, installment agreements, and formation of nonprofit entities. She annually prepares over 450 tax returns and in 2022 prepared tax returns in 38 different states - still waiting for the year she prepares returns for individuals in all 50 states! She has prepared thousands of bankruptcies and handled even more lawsuits for debtors being sued by their creditors.
For the past seven years, Dorothy has been named a Rising Star in the field of Consumer Bankruptcy by Super Lawyers. For the past two years, she has been named a Top Attorney by Austin Monthly in the field of Bankruptcy. She was also selected as the Top Law Firm in Dripping Springs 2021. Dorothy is consistently honored in her field as a Top Financial and Bankruptcy Lawyer by her colleagues.
Dorothy is also a professional musician who regularly performs in the greater Austin area. She is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist, performing on oboe, English horn, clarinet, saxophone, and flute. She has shared the stage with Andrea Bocelli, Bernadette Peters, The Who, Marvin Hamlisch, Il Divo and Celtic Women. She also performs regularly with Broadway Across America performances in Austin. Most recently, she has performed in the orchestras for West Side Story, Mary Poppins, Anastasia and Wicked. She is still waiting for Foreigner to ask her to perform in their symphony orchestra performance!
In her free time, Dorothy spends time with her husband and two sons. She is a huge Disney lover (as evidenced by the large Disney wall murals in the law firm) and takes several trips a year to the Disney parks. She is also a huge lover of live rock music and can frequently be seen in the front rows of concerts across the Texas area.
Melissa McConaty Springfield is a unique addition to the Dorothy Butler Law Firm. She handles marketing for the firm and various secretarial duties. Melissa attended Southern Adventist University and Cleveland State along with multiple certifications from the Radio Advertising Bureau.
After spending over 25 years in marketing and media it's safe to say that Melissa enjoys what she does. She found her way into the field from volunteering with non-profit agencies at a young age. "I enjoy what I do because I like to paint a picture for the client from a different perspective than your typical out of the box thinking."
Outside of the firm Melissa enjoys being the mother of four: Megan, Michelle, Matthew, and Mellie. Working her own non-profit; Red Heart Hats, that provides hats and comfort items for NICU infants, and volunteering in her community.

Michael P. Ruffin is the Civil Litigation Paralegal at Dorothy Butler Law Firm, focusing primarily on Family Law. He attended Louisiana State University and Georgia Southwestern University, majoring in American History with a concentration in Colonial America and Revolutionary Era, and Secondary Education.
As a Family Law Paralegal, Michael thrives on working with families through some of life's most challenging situations. Whether it be Divorce, Custody, or Adoption, he strives to provide the guidance clients deserve, and come to expect when retaining legal representation, from someone who understands the personal commitment that comes with Family Law cases. Michael is also the Paralegal for Landlord-Tenant matters, where he is able to assist clients experiencing difficulties with rental properties, and working towards a resolution between the parties with respect and understanding.
Arriving in Austin in 2021, Michael has called many places home including Georgia, Louisiana, and Florida. A lifelong fan, and proclaimed "Disney Adult", Michael is a Former Walt Disney World Cast Member, Travel Blogger and Content Creator, as well as a Cosplayer who can always be found at local Comic Cons and events. He is also a Musical Theatre performer with more than 25 years' experience on the stage, with stage credits including "Avenue Q", "Cats", "Jesus Christ Superstar", and "Annie Get Your Gun" starring country music star, Luke Bryan, as well as a solo acoustic/singer who can be seen performing locally. He is currently the host of "Just Another Movie Podcast".

Aspiring and qualified all-round, Midori Wilson is a paralegal at Dorothy Butler Law Firm, managing the areas outside and in-between attorney, client, and third-party relations. Operating in the Firm's background, she helps form and tie together the hidden aspects of practicing law and running a law firm.
A situational extrovert and a self-reflective introvert, she enjoys the role of being a silent organizer of the day-to-day level procedures, whilst inadvertently still getting to engage with people. Calling courts, combing through files, fielding emails, she brings together and finds a balance between chaos and routine.
Midori graduated from the University of Saint Thomas, in Saint Paul Minnesota. During her years as an undergrad, her experience was much the same. With an interest in human sociology, she looked for every different approach outside just numbers and statistics. Reading the stark essays of James Baldwin, translating the dramatic ironies of Shakespeare, anthropological and cultural studies, psychology to philosophy, the only constant was her curiosity.
After graduating she spent time volunteering at the Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation center, and as a teacher's assistant for the same elementary school she had fond memories of attending. It was the guarantee of warm weather that drew her away from her family and hometown to Austin, Texas where she is currently a food enthusiast and advocate for conscious eating, a dog lover, a new aunt, and still enjoying the many different observations and stories of the people she meets.
