My name is Yann (yann.com) and I am presently lead professional WordPress developer at WP&Co. I have also been a freelance open-source web developer based in Paris, France for the last 10 years. My experience with the Internet and free software systems goes back to ca. 1994, when I installed my first Yggdrasil and Slackware CD-ROM based GNU/Linux distributions and connected to the Internet in Japan, where I was living at that time (and teaching a few CS and IT classes to French and English-speaking students). Even before that, I had been experimenting somewhat with BBSs and the wonderful French Minitel network.
