Independence Steel was incorporated in 2012. What makes our company special is our founder and owner/President Michael Tierney. Mike started out in the steel business as a Union Iron Worker out of the Philadelphia local. After receiving a degree in Civil Engineering from Temple University he left the field and explored other options only to return to the steel industry several years later.
