In 1999, during a morning break, twelve legal investigators attending the National Association of Legal Investigator training conference in New Orleans, LA met for the first time. The impetus of the meeting was to discuss formation of a small professional group of investigators, who specialized in large civil litigation cases, that could meet on a periodic basis for the express purpose of sharing with one another: expert resource information, skill improvement, new investigation techniques and tools. All confidentially shared with each member, without cost, obligation or used in any unethical manner.
