Steve Gillan is Chief Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager at Gillan & Hartmann. He has extensive experience in the design of hospitals, pharmaceutical, public/private schools, universities, and residential multiple-dwelling units and mixed occupancy facilities. He manages a staff of mechanical and electrical engineers, designers, and CADD drafters and serves as project manager on multiple-discipline mechanical and electrical project. Steve has completed more than 150 projects involving analysis, design and cost estimation and construction administration of mechanical and electrical systems for both renovation/retrofit of existing facilities and new construction. In the past seven years, he has been Lead Mechanical Engineer for a total mechanical and electrical trade construction value of over $100 million. His duties included design, preparation of specifications, staff supervision, and construction oversight. Steve possesses a rare combination of hands-on work experience and academic acumen. Prior to attending Drexel University, he completed a four-year Apprenticeship Program in Sheetmetal Fabrication, Philadelphia and vicinity Joint Apprenticeship Committee Philadelphia Sheetmetal Local #19, and is recognized as a Journeyman Sheetmetal Designer.

Thomas L. Tate

Tom Tate is an award-winning and published engineer who is a frequent lecturer at professional gatherings such as the American Institute of Architects. In addition to his registration as a professional engineer in nine states, Mr. Tate is a Certified Energy Manager. He has also been certified as a Technical Analyst by the State of New Jersey Board of Utilities. As Vice President, Project Manager and Chief Mechanical Engineer for Gillan & Hartmann, continuously over the past 36 years, Tom has been responsible for more than $1 billion in mechanical construction. He is an expert in computer simulation of facility environmental controls for energy savings and economically sound return on investment decisions.
