JAN

Jan is the recipient of the Friars Club Award in 1987 and recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Broome County Arts Council in 2012... Jan began choreographing shortly after his injury in 1989 putting up small ballets. He than began work as a choreographer for the Cider Mill Playhouse. He has choreographed, Fiddler on the Roof, 1776, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, King and I, Music Man, Oklahoma, Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls, No,No, Nanette, Brigadoon, Anything Goes, Godspell Les Miserable... Jan began his dance career with Sherry Russo school of dance in Binghamton. From there he went on to minor in dance at Binghamton University where he studied under Laura Teuchtler, Fred Weiss, and Trudy Cobb. He studied ballet with Gilbert Reed, Tina Price, and Gerel Hilding of the Joffrey Ballet.
