JOHNSON'S CARAVAN - Key Persons

George Johnson

George Johnson started Geo Johnson's Auto Marine in 1964, repairing cars, trucks and boats. In 1966 he expanded the business by taking on the Franklin Caravan agency. George's son Leonard began his apprenticeship in 1968 and together they sold and serviced caravans, boats, outboard motors and lawn mowers. Leonard and his wife Lorraine took over the business in 1987 when George retired. The economic downturn of the late 80's saw the closure of Franklin Caravans, so Lorraine and Leonard decided to join forces with another very successful family business - Roma Caravans, a long established and well respected Australian manufacturer. To mark the new era, Lorraine and Leonard chose a new name for the business - Johnson's Auto Marine and Caravan Centre. The business welcomed the third generation of the Johnson family into its fold when Brendan began his apprenticeship in 1998. With over 20 years' experience in the industry Brendan and his wife Stacey have now taken over the family business and renamed it as Johnson's Caravan & Marine. Johnson's Caravan & Marine have a wealth of history and experience behind their business and are very positive about their future. in 2018 Johnson's have expanded to a dual Caravan agency welcoming Nextgen caravans to the family business. Johnson's have expanded their brands to include Honda Marine, Makocraft Boats and NDC Caravans.
