LARRY LABORDE - Key Persons
Christopher (Larry's son) was well indoctrinated into the merits of precious metals from a very young age. Precious metals were even part of Christopher's story from the very beginning, as Larry paid for Christopher's birth with some of the precious metals he saved from when he was a boy. Growing up, many dinner time conversations were filled with a mixture of discussions on macro-economics, following the money trail and small business ownership challenges. Some of these conversations involved exploring discussions around how things could be done differently in the U.S. and how they are done differently in other countries.
After graduating the University of Kansas Aerospace Engineering program and living in Nashville for a number of years, Christopher decided to visit a Silver Trading Customer in the United Arab Emirates. Shortly after visiting Christopher made the decision to move to the U.A.E. to learn more about Middle Eastern cultures as well as many other cultures of the world that had residents living in the UAE.
While in Dubai Christopher met his wife and mother of their two children, a French national named Florence. Christopher and Florence are raising their two children Oscar (named after Larry's father) and Ottilie in the Xpat community in Dubai, and introducing them to the sport of sailboat racing between his precious metals writing and his day job of creating national refrigerant gas management programs for GCC countries.
Christopher writes a weekly news letter under the title of The Sophisticated Chimp that covers many of the topics that Larry was popular for writing about.
