LISSAS LEARNING LADDER - Key Persons

Melissa Peterson has both the educational background and relevant work experience necessary to effectively perform the duties required of a Preschool Director. Melissa holds a Degree in Early Childhood Education from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. She also obtained college certificates in Child Development and School Age Child Care. Throughout her college education, Melissa studied early care and education as well as appropriate practices for working with young children. Her college courses included child development, nutrition, mental health, culture and diversity, music and movement, art, and observation and assessment. She also completed a one year internship at the Idaho State University Child Development Center where she worked and studied with highly qualified professors and early childhood educators. "Lissa" is a constant presence at the preschool and is now just the Owner, not the Owner and Director. At the beginning of December of 2021 she turned over the role as Director to Angel who has more than earned it!!!
