Her work uses a range of media and a variety of low-tech approaches. Through wrapping, collaging and assembling, themes of containment and holding; moments of meeting and connection are explored. A curiosity about an internal as well as natural landscape informs the work with a tension between fragility and a potential resilience also underpinning the enquiry... Lucy Large studied sculpture at Camberwell Art College, London, and now lives and works in Somerset.
